    Not new?

The battery arrived in an envelope and it was not packaged as new. It felt dirty to the touch and so far I have had to charge it up daily as it does not hold as much power as my old one did. I believe I may have been sent a second hand battery. I am very disappointed with the seller.

Do not buy from seller “The Accessory Store”

This item arrived scratched and scuffed from seller “The Accessory Store”. It was also not sealed. I therefore have good reason to believe that it is not new and that I have paid £18 for an old, used battery. Take my advice and avoid this seller.

The Bold drains batteries like there is no tomorrow. Getting a spare battery is very, very useful and I recommend all Bold users to have a spare one in their bag.

Personally I wouldn’t get other batteries that aren’t 1500 Mah, seeing as Mah is the measure of energy flow. Getting one with 2400 Mah instead of 1500 Mah will mean your phone gets the wrong amount of energy. I’m not an expert but pumping in too much energy doesn’t sound healthy for a phone.

Given that the battery life on the Bold is lower than earler models, it’s worth having a spare. They are often very expensive, but this is a great price for the genuine RIM battery model – don’t buy other brands – they are often poor value for money
