BeBuzz – Download Free Version Of BerryBuzz

There is now a free version of BerryBuzz available at BlackBerry Apps World. The new free version, which has been slimmed down, is called BeBuzz. This app lets you customize your device LED with various colours and is worth checking out. BeBuzz extends your default BlackBerry alert system. BeBuzz allows you to completely customize the LED colour and create repeating audible reminders for different types of alerts. It also has customisable vibrate for incoming calls. Finally you can get your BlackBerry to vibrate while it is ringing.

Adding A New User To BlackBerry Messenger 5.0 Via BarCode

The BlackBerry Messenger application for all BlackBerry handsets running OS version 4.5 or higher has now been upgraded. The new app has given SMS text messaging an overhaul, avatars are now available and users will be able to send and receive large file transfers.

There is also enhanced group functionality that allows users to update, share and communicate with a subset community. Each BlackBerry has its own BlackBerry barcode. Just fire up the app, opt to add a friend and the camera will start automatically. If you take a photo of another barcode the information will be added to your BlackBerry Messenger. Ok, so Twitter is a social application, and for that reason we have included it in our Blackberry Social Apps section. However, we keep getting told how Twitter is useful for marketing in todays world so maybe it should go in the business apps section as well. Anyway because of the popularity of Twitter, we thought it would be good idea to do a page on the best BlackBerry Twitter Applications rather than posting each of them individually. So, here it goes, this is our low down on what out there for the BlackBerry user. Just a note, these have not been written in any particular order.

TwitterBerry

Though it’s not available in the BlackBerry App World, TwitterBerry is one of the most popular Twitter clients for BlackBerry phone users. You can simply surf to the TwitterBerry page, download the app, and you will have access to whole world of Twitter on your BlackBerry. You can check your followers’ status, update your own, and send direct messages to other pages. It works over the data network, so you won’t need to worry about SMS charges on your bill. If you’re a Twitter fan or just want to get the most out of the opportunities of Twittering, then TwitterBerry is a app you need to try out.

UberTwitter

You won’t find UberTwitter in the BlackBerry App World, but when you go and download it from the UberTwitter Page, you’ll find a full-featured Twitter client complete with the ability to upload pictures, send videos, and even update your Google Talk account with all of your latest tweet. This is one of the most capable BlackBerry Twitter apps you’ll find.

Yatca

Yatca is another Twitter client that you won’t find in the BlackBerry App World. But unlike TwitterBerry, which is full-featured, Yatca is quite simple and basically, pretty much all it does is let you update your stream or send replies. It delivers updates to your BlackBerry’s message Inbox, which can be a pain in the bum.
